New for 2012

Gencat™ Diesel Series for RV's NEW FOR 2012

The Gencat™-D is installed in a rigid stainless steel housing and is constructed as a single stage electrostatic precipitator which works in conjunction with an integrated catalyst. Solid particles such as soot, aerosols and the like which are part of diesel exhaust gas are initially charged in the electrostatic field by a corona discharge and then these solid particles are collected on collection plates inside the housing. This design creates free radicals which oxidize carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons. The exhaust gas undergoes a final cleaning in the integrated catalyst and exits by way of the tail pipe.

In addition to soot removal, Gencat™-D also removes more than 90% of gas phase hydrocarbons as well as aldehydes and ketones the latter being responsible for diesel exhaust odors. Gencat™-D includes an internal washing system which is used to periodically clean out the device.

Gencat™-D is based on well known and documented electrostatic precipitation principles and engineering and has been used extensively for many years in smoke stack industries for the removal of particulate matter and pollutants. Gencat™-D applies these principles in a minituarized and ruggedized form so that it can operate in a moving vehicle or stationary generator environment. The Gencat™-D significantly reduces CO and other harmful gases while eliminating diesel odors and suppressing noise.
